EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

I have not yet taken a backup.

Description of my issue:
when I access a Backup Profile the page has the profile description and nothing more.

What I tried:
I added my own profile and tried creating a new one - both had the same issue
I tried going back a version of Akeeba (using: com_akeeba-4.1.0.rc3-pro) - same issue

Hello,

can you please attach a screenshot of your issue?
Can you please enable debug mode and set error reporting to development inside Joomla configuration page? Do you get any error when visiting the page you reported?

I enabled debug mode & set reporting to development then did a screen capture (see img). I don't get any errors.

This page is perfectly correct. When you edit a profile you are only editing its title, exactly as documented. You can use the toolbar buttons to save or cancel your changes.

If you want to edit the Configuration of a backup profile, exactly per the documentation instructions you can do one of the following:

1. From the Profile page click on the aptly labeled Configure button next to each backup profile.

2. From the main page of the component (a.k.a. Control Panel) click the Profile drop-down and select the profile you want to use and modify. The page reloads. Click on the aptly named Configuration button. The active profile is clearly displayed at the top of that page for your convenience.
