Description of my issue:

I have not been able to do a full backup of my site.I can backup the database but no to do a full backup of the site. My website is in a dedicated server and disk space shouldn't be an issue. The backup runs until 75% and then I got an error.

Thanks, for your help.

You have a 2 Gb backup file in the /restore folder that is preventing the backup from completing. You should delete or exclude this file.

Thank you for your quick response!
I exclude the restore folder and trying again. I will let you know if this solve the issue.

No luck. Still the same problem. I am attaching the latest log.
Thanks again.

You appear to be backing up multiple sites. There is one in /tem and possibly another in /current, it didn't get far enough in /current to tell if it was a complete site.

Backing up multiple sites in one backup, in theory, should work. But the restore is a real nightmare. I recommend that you exclude the files and database tables not associated with the site you are currently backing up. The other sites should have their own backup.

You have your part size set for 2 GB, which is fine. What size is the backup archive when the backup stops? I suspect it is around 2 GB. That shouldn't cause the backup to stop.

Hello Dale,
I will follow your suggestion and exclude the files database not associate with the main site. My server is going to some upgrades at the time so I will try again when this is done.
Thanks!

Hi Dale,
I am still unable to backup the web site. Following up with your previous post.
I excluded all the other sites I have, and I backed the other sites on their own(not issues wit this ones at all). I am only backing up the database tables associated with the site. Akeeba backup will run all the way to 75% and then it will give me the same error. I am attaching the latest log in case that it helps.

Attached latest log.

We're actually finding different, but similar problems. We're making progress.

The current problem child is another 2 GB backup file in current/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/. Judging by the names involved, there could be several of them in there.

Ok, so should I exclude current/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/?

dlb
Yes, that looks like an output folder for another site. The file it died on was a .j06 file, which suggests there are, or were, five more. The file looks like it is from 2012.
