EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Completing a site migration from Joomla 2.5.28 to Joomla 3.3.6 on my development web server (Ubuntu 14.04). Last step was to upgrade from Akeeba Backup 4.0 to 4.1.

Installation shows as complete with no errors, but when trying to access AkeebaBackup, displays the following error:-

An error has occurred.

Please try installing the Akeeba Backup Professional 4.1.0 stable package twice in a row, without uninstalling Akeeba Backup before, in between or after.

This is a Joomla! bug we've identified since the early Joomla! 1.5 days but for various reasons it never got fixed. We are currently working with other core contributors to get all those extension installer bugs fixed in Joomla! 3.4.0 and –whatever doesn't make the 3.4 release– Joomla! 3.5.0. In the meantime the install twice workaround seems to be working on the vast majority of cases. Please let me know how it worked out for you.

Yes, that solved it. I'll try it on the production server, if I've got any issues I'll advise.

Thanks for the quick response.
