Hi,
Yesterday, after i have asked to my host to fix the issue like you said it seems that the host have worked for me.
So, now the 403 error is disappeared.
I know that Nicholas is been upset about that situation; i'm so sorry. I excuse me!
But now i noticed something else that seems going wrong, i don't know.
This night, my system made a frontend multipart backup via cron job but after that the Akeeba system sent me the stuck backup email.
So, this morning i make a new multipart backup via backend.
The backup is finished, but on the bottom of the page i found a text "Attention".
What happend now?
Could you help me please?
Thanks

I'm going to attach the log files

I am definitely not upset with you. On the contrary. I am upset with your host because they wasted your time and our time.

As for the warning at the bottom of the front-end backup (using akeeba-altbackup.php) do not worry. It is always printed. Since we cannot detect backup warnings when running a front-end backup we remind you that you should always check your backups to make sure they contain all the files and data on your site. Our suggestion is to make a test restoration (on a local server) of the latest backup after you update Joomla! or Akeeba Backup.

Hi Nicholas,
and how about the stuck backup email i received?
Thanks so much

It depends on when you are running the stuck backup check. It has to be at least half an hour after the completion of your backup, otherwise the results are not to be trusted.

Hi,
yes, you're rigth. I have increased the delay after backup and now it seems to work.
Unfortunately it is came back out the issue where I and Davide was working when the 403 server error appeared.
I'm so sorry to give you a lot of work by my problems, but i'm not be able to fix it by myself.
The issue is that the multi-part backup of the same site has not the same dimension.
For example some value are: 924 or 643 or 757 Mb. The site is always the same, equal.
Could you help me again please?
Thanks

Sure. I will just need the backup log files of each one of the different sized backup runs. Tell me which log refers to which backup size and I'll try to understand what's going on.

Hello Germani,

Thank you for the log files. I wrote a few scripts to find out the file differences. Here are my results:

You do not seem to be excluding the files in the administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup directory. Please exclude that directory from the backup.

The directory components/com_alphauserpoints/assets/phpThumb/cache seems to contain several thumbnails which differ between the backup runs. You may want to exclude this entire directory.

Likewise, the contents of the components/com_alphauserpoints/views/latestactivity directory seem to differ.

The same applies to the images/jch-optimize directory.

The meteo/stat directory seems to also contain a cache of weather(?) data.

Hi,
i excluded all the files you told me via basic operation > Exclude data from the backup > Files and Directories Exclusion .
Unfortunatelly the situation is not changed:
on 6 dec i was a multipart backup of 864 Mb
on 7 dec i was a multipart backup of 922 Mb
on 8 dec i was a multipart backup of 691 Mb
All the backups were made by frontend using a cron job at 3:00 time.
What can i do please?
Thanks

What exactly did you exclude? Did you exclude
a. only the files already contained in those directories (selecting each one of them one by one)
b. the files of each directory ("Exclude files")
c. the subdirectories of each directory ("Exclude folders")
d. the entire directory ("Exclude this")

There are four possibilities regarding what you did, but there's only one right answer regarding what you should've done.

Hi,
to avoid misunderstandings i made two screenshots.
The first one is the "List all exclusions"
The second one is the root for the first file like example; the others were been excluded at the same way.
Thanks for your help.

Thank you, it makes more sense to me now. It seems that your different size issue may have been due to a bug regarding the exclusion of the Joomla! Finder (a.k.a. Smart Search) tables. Their size may vary wildly. Please try using the latest dev release from https://http://akeebabackup.com/download/developer-releases/akeebapro.html The latest dev release is towards the top of the page.

Hi,
i made a lot of tests.
I find quite the same size when i make a single backup, whitout multipart.
But when i use the funtion to copy the backup on another server i have the backup failed with: Invalid AJAX data: (HTML containing script tags)
Could that help you?
Do you think that with a site size of over 900 Mb (like mine) i can take a single backup, without multipart?
Thanks a lot for your time spent with my problems.

Hello Germani,

I am not sure if the multipart really generates archives of different sizes or if it's the reported size that's off. If you download all the part files of each backup, are they of a different size?

Hi Nicholas,
i've made other tests.
As my concerned i think that my problem is the multipart.
As you ask me i ceck the size of the multipart backup via FTP with Filezilla.
Those backups have really different sizes.

So, what do you think if i give up to multipart?
Do you think i can take a single backup with my site size of over 900 Mb?

For some reason I don't understand multipart doesn't seem to work on your site. Since it happens to nobody else I'm inclined to believe that it's your server. What on your server? I don't know. But that's the major difference between you and dozens of thousands of successful users.

I'd recommend not using multipart. Until 2Gb you don't have a problem. After that, all bets are off.
