Description of my issue:
In preparation of moving my Joomla site from GoGaddy to SiteGround (Yea!) I have updated joomla and all extensions (including Abeeba Backup) Akeeba backup SEEMS to have installed properly but when I click on 'Show Post Installation Messages' I get the following error: Fatal error: Class 'FOFRenderUtf' not found in /home/content/s/t/a/standib/html/libraries/fof/view/view.php on line 966.
Can you help?

dlb
The fof library (alpha o) is a core Joomla! library. You might reinstall the update or copy the Joomla! files up to your site via FTP to try to correct the missing files.

The f0f (zero) library is a fork of the original FOF library that is used by Akeeba products.

Both libraries are required on your site.

Would the missing file be in the Akeeba update package?

dlb
Check the error message carefully. If is says fof (alpha) the missing file would be Joomla! If it says f0f (zero) it is Akeeba. Your message says it is a Joomla! file, but the difference is easy to miss if you don't know that there are two of them.

I probably don't understand the message. I don't see where it says either fof(alpha) or fof(zero).
Here is the error message again:
Fatal error: Class 'FOFRenderUtf' not found in /home/content/s/t/a/standib/html/libraries/fof/view/view.php on line 966
Are you referring to the "FOFRenderUtf"? Is that fof(Alpha)?

I just performed the upgrade up to Joomla 3.3.6 from 3.3.1 just before I upgraded Akeeba. Does that have anything to do with this?

Thanks for your patience

dlb
That message is from Joomla! Yes, the files were not installed properly by the Update Manager during the upgrade.

The easiest way to fix it is probably to extract the Joomla! archive on your local computer and copy up the fof folder via FTP, overwriting the files that are already there.

Before you do anything, clear your browser cache to make sure that isn't causing the problem.

I'm not sure what I did but I thought it MIGHT be a conflict with an extension called 'JSN power admin'. It came with a template I was trying and seems to be an api interface in the backend that was more trouble than help. I uninstalled the extension on a previous version of my site then updated to joomla to 3.3.6. Finally I upgraded Akeeba and everything seems to be working properly including post installation messages.

Thanks for your help.
