EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Hi, i'm trying to perform a backup with the new 4.1.0rc2 version.
WIth the previous version everything went ok, but now after the backup database step, Akeeba dies with an error like "openbase dir restriction in effect, /my/root/path/.. is not within the allowed path.

From what i've been able to debug, akeeba tries to read the "parent" directory of my site's root, which is not allowed by my php.ini configuration (the restriction is on the site's root instead of having the classic "public_html" directory.)

Thanks!

Ciao Daniele!

Dando un'occhiata alle commit, mi sembra che Nicholas abbia lavorato su questo problema giusto un paio di giorni fa.
Potresti installare l'ultima dev release e riprovare?
Non so se la modifica è già stata inclusa nella build, se così non fosse chiedo a Nich di rifare il pacchetto appena possibile.
