Description of my issue:

Blank screen after this upgrade.

With errors set to display, I get the following error:
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /<my_path>/administrator/includes/application.php on line 276 Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$params in /<my_path>/administrator/includes/application.php on line 277

Hello Nick,

I suspect that Joomla forgot to copy all the files, so you have a partial installation.
You have to re-install the package again in order to fix your issue.
After logging in you will get the error, but you'll be able to directly access admin pages.
Please enter the following URL in the address bar:
www.yourdomain.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_installer

You'll see the extension manager page, please install the latest version again in order to copy all the files.

This did not work ! I keep getting the same error.
Please advice.

Should I do a clean install of Akeeba (and thus loose all my current settings) ?

(I never intended to install a RC, but I trusted the Joomla Updater and did not pay attention.
Never again !)

Rgds,
Nick

Where did you get the error?
Inside Akeeba Backup or after logging in the administrative area?

Can you please try to uninstall, check if you get the same error (of course you can do that only if the error occurs immediately after the login) then reinstall again?

Usually you are not requested to do that, however I have the suspicion that some other plugin or Joomla could raise the error.
