EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Hello,

I posted some weeks ago a problem about my crons jobs that were failing.
You inspected the situation and came to the conclusion that an endless loop was causing the problem, surely due to a SEo extension.
I have SH404SEF installed and inspected with them the situation.
In fact there is no problem from their side.
I even uninstalled SH404SEF and have the same problem

My preprod website running the same configuration has also the same problem. I'm purely unable to back it up with cron jobs.

Can you please help ?

Thanks

Hello,

did you setup any redirection in your site? For example Joomla built-in redirect component?
Are you using the standard Joomla .htaccess file or you modified it?

I migrated the site and managed some url redirections with SH404sef.
The htaccess is a customized one. I can send it to you if you want

Can you please try to replace it with the Joomla standard one and try again?

Do you have by chance a standard htaccess file ?

No, but you can easily download the package from Joomla.org, extract and upload the htaccess.txt file; rename it to .htaccess and you're ready to go.

I've installed the standard htaccess joomla file on my preprod website and the cron job could work again.
As I don't really want to damage my production website by changing the htaccess, I join it to this thread so that you can have a look at it and tell if there is anything wrong.

We cannot provide support for third party .htaccess files and/or .htaccess files created by our clients. We can only provide limited support for the .htaccess file created by Admin Tools Professional to subscribers of this software. The .htaccess created by Admin Tools –originally based on my Master .htaccess, parts of an old version of which you were using on your site– has been significantly worked on in the last four years, tested against thousands of sites on hundreds of different server configurations and dozens of Joomla! versions and is known to work just fine. Moreover, it offers far greater protection than the three-year-old version of the Master .htaccess you are currently using.
