EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I've just made a backup of my site, and installed it on my 'test site', as I've done a thousand times before.
Somehow the database on the test site is using the production site database.
Looking in test site configuration.php it directs it to the test database and the production configuration.php points to the production database.
I'm very confused how this can be done..
I've checked the subdomains for the server, and that is also on different directories, and I've also checked that the subdomains work for other subdomains I have besides the production and test.
Any idea what can be wrong?

Best regards Kenneth

Hello Kenneth,

where did you restore your test site?
Where is located you configuration.php file? Is still inside the root of the site or do you changed its position?

I've had to restore my production site back, fortunately I had a recent backup.
So the problem is not there at the moment, but I'll try and reproduce it later.

My folder structure looks like this:
home/dkdbdk/public_html
home/dkdbdk/test

My DB's are installed on localhost, but with their own db and db user.

My host points the subdomains to these two folders as well.

I looked in the configuration.php in both folders, and they contained the configuration.php as it should.

Best regards Kenneth

As reported in our troubleshooter page, are you 100% sure to entered the correct database information?
We are only writing the configuration file, then all the logic is performed by Joomla as usual.
