EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I want to give access to akeebabackup PRO for one of my clients. I want my client to access the Manage Backups section, but I need to HIDE the "Restore" button for obvious reasons. Is there any way to achieve this?

Unfortunately this is not really possible. If you deny the "Download" privilege for a user group they will lose access to both Manage Backups and the Restore button. Moreover, if a user belongs to a group with the Super User privilege then they have implicitly all permissions, no matter what you do, making it impossible to limit their access to the Restore button. You could try removing the administrator/components/com_akeeba/restore.php file after every upgrade which will break the Restore button's functionality but will not remove the button itself.
