EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I try to update my website to the newest Akeeba version as I got some errors, but the installation stops everytime with this error [Could not rename last JPA part to .JPA extension.]
I have read the tickets and even tried to install the rev-version but still without succes.

This is a known issue which is already fixed in Akeeba Backup 4.0.5. Moreover there has been a security fix in Akeeba Backup 4.0.5. Please upgrade immediately.

I know there is a security fix with 4.0.5 but this version I cannot install either due to the same error :)

You can simply disable the System - System Restore Points plugin and install the new version.
