EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

After a website migration, it was determined(in another support ticket here) that the akeeba profile we had on the previous server was corrupt, so we created a new one and it solved our problem.

But that corrupt profile is now causing me another small problem. The problem is that the corrupt profile is profile 0, the default one. And when I run Akeeba CMS update and tells it to do a backup before updating, it will always use profile 0, so it will always fail...

In the doc it says we cannot remove profile 0. But then how do we get rid of that corrupted profile? Is there a way to delete and recreate it?

Thanks

Hello,

can you please link here the doc stating that you can't delete it?
If you don't have any other profile, you can easily fix that by connecting to your database and manually change its value from 0 to 1.
That should do the trick.

Small mistake in my original message. It's not profile 0, it's profile 1(the default profile).

Since I wasn't able to delete the profile I did a search and found the doc here, https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/akeeba-solo/profiles-management.html stating:
You can never delete the backup profile with ID 1, the one that was originally created by the application and was called "Default backup profile".

I now see though that it relates to Akeeba Solo, not Akeeba for Joomla. But in any case, when I try to delete the profile in joomla it says:
Error

You can not delete the default profile (the one with id=1)

I did what you proposed though, and changed the ID in the database. I change the ID of profile 3 to 1, and 1 to 2. So the default profile is now the one that wasn't corrupted, and I was able to delete the corrupted profile since it doesn't have ID 1 anymore. It's all working now.

Thanks!
