EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Hi I am trying to do a manual backup and I am getting a fail error. Also when I tried to install from a backup I have from last week I go to a test server 192.168.1.167/langsci/instalation/index.php and it redirects me to my live website. Let me know why I am getting those errors. Thanks.

Your PHP version is badly out of date. I assume that is why your Akeeba Backup is also badly out of date, the modern versions won't run on your PHP. It is not just a matter of them being old, both have known vulnerabilities which are fixed in the more recent versions.

On to your problem. I can't tell from that version of the log, but it looks like you're trying to upload a single 408 Mb archive file via FTP. Your server is timing out because it is taking too long. You need to reduce the part size in the Configuration screen. Try about 50 Mb, you can adjust up or down depending on your results.

Check your langsci/ folder for an .htaccess file. I think that is where the redirection is coming from. That's fixed in the modern version of the installer too. :-)
