Description of my issue:
Did a full backup of my production site who is hosted outsite. Restore to my PC (localhost) also worked.
Can access the ack-end of the website. However when i try to access the front-end i been directed to the real production site.
Already commented out every line in the htaccess.txt file eand restarted without any luck.
Is there any additional check or configuration that i'm missing here?

Hello Rodius,

most likely you have a system plugin (a SEF one) that is redirecting your local site to the remote one.
Please review them and change their configuration as needed.

Checked again and i found only the standard System-SEF plugin from Jommla.
I disable it but no luck
So i'm still looking.

Found strange bavior. I have put the website, localhosted, offline so that i must enter credentials to see the site.
Now the site on my PC localhost is shown and also all pages from the site are served from my localhost.

Maybee this could give you a hint for helping solve this issue.

Do you have any SEF component installed?
Can you please try the solutions suggested inside this troubleshooter page?

This redirection is not done by Akeeba Backup and it's not done by core Joomla!.
It's either a SEF or SEO extension or the .htaccess file.
Please review any SEF or SEO plugin you have installed, most likely it is pointing to the remote site.
