EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I can't create a backup and so cannot install any extensions either. I have uninstalled everything and tried again - same errors. The first ticket I created I actually didn't finish, so I don't know why it's there. Then on the 12th Sept I created another ticket which I cannot find anywhere.

Please see below the errors and attached the log file

Backup Failed
The backup operation has been halted because an error was detected.
The last error message was:

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:

ALICE says
Backup engine state saving issuesError
Backup engine died without its state having been saved. The engine was stepped 1 times, saved 0 times
Please check if you have enough disk space; if your part size is more than 5Mb (or it's 0) please try part sizes of 20, 10, 5 and 2Mb.
If you still get this error, change time settings inside Akeeba Backup; try minimum execution time 1, maximum 7 and runtime bias 50. If this doesn't work try minimum 5, maximum 3 (yes, max is less than min) and bias 50.
Timeout while backing upError
There is already an issue with the backup engine saving its state. Please fix it before continuing.
Please try setting min execution time to 1, max execution time to 10 seconds (or if the PHP timeout is less than 10 seconds, use 75% of the PHP timeout), runtime bias 75%

It looks like your host has deleted or renamed files from your site as described in this article. The security issue that they have detected is a known false positive. You need to get them to whitelist the files involved. Akeeba will not work otherwise.

To repair your Akeeba installation, simply download the current version and install it again. Do not uninstall the component, that will cause you to lose all your settings and possibly your stored backup archives.

Thank you so much! That is exactly what has happened. My host whitelisted the files and now everything is working!
