I use for my jpa-File Installation the version Kickstart 3.9.
with chmod 777 I gave the comprehensive setup right. Unfortunately I get the message: Failed installation / angie / assets / runscripts.php not upload. I have no idea. This is the first time I have such trouble with kickstart.

Please check the permissions of your web root folder. Linux permissions would be inherited from there and they sometimes default to "too tight." Actually, that would apply to a Windows environment too.

Are there any files or folders at all in your web root? Did the extraction start and quit or did it never get started?

You have confirmed my guess that the error is caused by an incorrect assignment of rights . And so it was. I run a rootserver, whis installed Plesk on it. The domain in question has been recently redefined by a Plesk upgrade from me. On all hitherto existing domains does www-data:www-data. Well no more. Now it must be domain_admin: psacln.
Now I get a copy error when updating extensions. The tmp directory can be written. I can recognize that the extensions have been stored to it. Unfortunately, the update then is not carried out.

MikeFrizz
by the way. After fixing the rights, Akeeba runs the domain restore without any errors.

Do you have Joomla!'s FTP layer enabled? If not, please enable that in Global Configuration and try again. That will solve a lot of permission problems. It won't work miracles with owner problems though.
