EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I want to restore my backup to a localhost and get following error message right at the beginning:

SQL=CREATE DATABASE `DBxxxxxx` CHARACTER SET `utf8`

I have read and tried many settings, but no Change.

I guess, I'm just missing something...

Can you advise?

Pleased to hear

Hartmut

Technically, Kickstart is just the jpa/zip extractor, your restore is actually failing in the installer phase.

In most cases the installer can not create a database, it can only restore tables and data to an existing database. You need to create a database, password and user before your restore. Did you do that?

Hi Dale,

Many Thanks for quick reply!

Yes, I did.

Meanwhile it worked (after at least 10 attempts), but now have another issue.

Will revert to that after I tried on my own.
