Dear support team,

former times i was able to backup my site www.cm-audio.net with your akeeba backup just using the backup now button.

today i tried a backup again and got the following error:
**********************
Backup Failed
The backup operation has been halted because an error was detected.
The last error message was:

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
*************************

I performed the wizzard for checking the performance parameters and read some tickets, but the error is still the same.

Attached you will find my logfile.

Hoping you are able to give me a hint to solve the problem.

If you need the joomla admin acount, please sent me an eMail.

best regards

Markus

Markus.

That setup should never have worked on Strato. They impose a maximum file size of 50, 10 or 5 Mb depending on which server your site is actually located on. That means when your backup archive hits the max file size, you get the 500 error. Your max part size in the Configuration screen is 2 Gb. You need to reduce your max part size and try your backup again.

Dear Dale,

you are really the best ;-)

I added a lot of images to the site, that was the reason for reaching the file limitation.
After setting the part size to 5 Mb the backup will be completed without any error !

Thank you very much indeed for you fast and qualified support.

Best regards

Markus

You are welcome!

You can try 10 Mb and 50 Mb to see if they work. Bigger is better - until you hit the limit.
