EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

We switched server for a website, the restore worked fine, but strangely we cannot backup anymore at the new host. I uninstalled and reinstalled akeeba backup and redid the config, to no avail, we always get the error Failed Smart algorithm on AECoreDomainDb in the log.

Any idea? I looked at other tickets and didn't see any solutions that applied to us.

Hello,

this means that there is an error while getting table information.
Can you please ask your host if you are allowed to run the query SHOW TABLES?

Hi,
With the mysql CLI, using the website mySQL connection credentials, I can connect and run SHOW tables without problem.

We also have another website running on the same server which has no problem with Akeeba. So not sure what is wrong in this case.

Can you please double check if you have added an extra database definition?
You should remove this extra definition, or create another backup profile.

There are no extra database definition, but creating a new profile worked. Not sure why since I configured it exactly like the other one. But I guess moving server didn't agree with the original profile :P

Thanks, solved!
