Description of my issue:

Hello,
I've been using Akeeba Backup for a while. On an absolutely fresh Joomla website on a new server I found a mysterious binary file called "confwizEsyN0A" within the following directory
administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup
and was wondering if this file has to be there or if it will do harm to the website. I controlled other websites using Akeeba Backup as well and found the same file on another half year old website with J3.3.3. On sites with J2.5 I could not find it. I could not find anything about this file within other tickets on your website and I am unsecure now. I just want to rule out that there is a security gap.

The component itself works perfect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

nicholas

It's a normally temporary file created by the configuration wizard when it tries to see how big a file it can create on your server without the server killing the script. You can safely delete the file. After all, it should already be 0 bytes in size.
