Is your Joomla! cache enabled? Take a look in Global Configuration. If it's enabled you've hit a Joomla! bug. I fixed that bug a month ago, sent the patch to the Joomla! maintainers, it is already merged and will make it into Joomla! 3.4. In the meantime the only thing you can do is disable the System - System Restore Points plugin and clear Joomla!'s administrator cache afterwards.
