EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I can't progress past the "Apply these preferences" page. I've read two other tickets mentioning the same issue, and have taken the following steps:

Cleared both site and browser caches
Used a different computer
Uninstalled & reinstalled both Akeeba Backup and Admin tools

None of these solved the problem. Would appreciate any assistance. I have several sites on the same shared hosting account that are also running Akeeba Backup and Admin tools with no issues.

What happens with the preferences? Are you not getting the buttons or are they not working?

Clearing the cache is the most common fix, but it is possible that you have some other extension that is interfering with the JavaScript.

I do see the buttons. Clicking on them does nothing, which may mean it's a Javascript issue. I just tried running Firebug on the page. This is what the error console displays:

TypeError: window.addEvent(...) is not a function

Please upgrade to 4.0.1, Nicholas added some code in the new version to work around several known JavaScript anomalies in third party plugins.

Note: There is a known issue in 4.0.1 related to mulit-part jpa archives on a Windows based server. I think there will be another update released over the weekend.

Very happy to reply that the new upgrade worked for both Admin tools and Akeeba backup. Thank you!
