EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Backup Fails after at least 75% of backup files created. Obviously it Fails not always at the same stage, sometimes 45 of 54 backup files are created, somtimes 53 of 54.

Attached the last logfile

Please help

Hello Hartmut,

can you please try to use the Large site scanner as scanner engine?

Inside the configuration page of the active Akeeba Backup profile, you will see an option called File and directories scanner engines, please set it to Large site scanner.
Looking at your log I saw that you have several files in the same directory, this should speed up your backup and avoid being terminated.
For further information please take a look at this page of the documentation.

Ok, I think I got what's going on.
Strato hosting is applying a limit on maximum file size, so if your backup archive reaches that limit they will kill the backup process.
Inside Akeeba Backup configuration page, can you please set a part size of 5Mb and try again?

Hello Davide,

I am Aware of this and have therefore already limited to 49,99 MB, which worked fine until a few days ago.
However, I tried then with 20MB, also after 72% the error came again. 111 files were created...then the error came.
Also with 10 MB it didn't work.

Finally, 5 MB could do...

But strange enough, it worked for more than five years with at least 20 MB, the last year even with 50MB setting.

Do you have an idea?

Hosts tend to change their policies form time to time.
I think you should talk with your host and ask if they raise the file size limit, or you can keep the part size to 5Mb
