I see the attached display when I go to the Joomal installer. I dont think that is the way it is supposed to be or is it?

You have to thank Joomla!'s session management when you are logged out and logged back in for that. Once you reload that page you will only see one notification.

Unfortunately, due to the way Joomla! session management works, we can't work around this issue. For what it's worth it is VERY annoying for me too. Probably much more for me than for you, as I get to see this at least 4 times a day, every single day (including most weekends). If there was a way to work around it, believe me, I would have already fixed that!

That is indeed very unfortunate because my client has no concept of sessions and who is respobsible for that. He only sees the result and that is a "broken" Akeeba. anyway I'll try to explain.

I understand. Let's try explaining it in a way your clients will understand.

This only happens when they try to access the extensions installer page but your Joomla! log-in has timed out. You are taken back to the Joomla! log-in page where you log-in and get diverted automatically back to the extensions installer. Since the extensions installer "remembers" the last messages it should have shown (before Joomla! did the back and forth in the log in page) it causes this repeated message issue.
