I've used Akeeba Backup on more than a few occasions and this was my first backing up a site that had Mijoshop (Joomla version of OpenCart). The problem I've encountered is that the site would do a full backup without error, but when I go to restore it on a live server, all of the modules and the data to the store (Mijoshop) are not there. All Joomla modules/data is there, but not the store.

I've ran several backup/restore tests and the same thing had occurred. What I had to wind up doing is make a backup with the store (it has its own backup/restore data component), restore the Akeeba Backup, restore the store files separately, and then the data will return.

Is this to be the norm for store sites that use Mijoshop? i know VM doesn't have any issues because VM is a Joomla cart component in contrast to Mijoshop that is more of an independent component.

Thank you.

Akeeba Backup doesn't care if the script it's backing up is native Joomla! or a bridge. This is completely irrelevant. Moreover, I have tested Akeeba Backup with Mijoshop without any issues.

Since you have not posted a log file –making it impossible to provide an accurate diagnosis– I will have to guess what might have gone wrong. Most likely you have excluded any tables from your backup. Considering that manually transferring the MijoShop tables works this is the most likely cause of your issue. I would be better able to tell you if this is really the problem if you could post your backup log file as requested when filing this ticket.

All MijoShop tables are backed up just fine. When restoring the site are you using the same database table naming prefix or did you choose a new one?
