It looks like the remote server rejects the upload. Please check that the connection details are valid first, using the Test FTP Information button in the Configuration page of Akeeba Backup. Also please check that the directory you have specified is valid and already exists on the remote FTP server (Akeeba Backup won't create a new one). Also, since this started happening all of a sudden I can only GUESS that this might also be related to the permissions of the FTP server's directory, or using up the remote FTP server's quota. That's all we can do to help, I'm afraid :(
