There are two different technologies that may be in play here. I'm still not sure which one we're having problems with.
The Dropbox API limits uploaded files to 100 Mb. In order to upload a file larger than 100 Mb, you need to split it into parts. There are two ways to do that, both are found under Configuration.
- Split Archive - this is under the Archiver Engine, in the Configure settings. If you set the part size to 99.99 Mb, the archive will be split into parts with a maximum size of 99.99 Mb each. The parts are named jpa, j01, j02, etc. All of the parts of the archive must be present to extract the archive. This type of split does not reassemble into a single file.
- Chunk size - this is under Data Processing Engine and is an option while setting up the Dropbox post processing. This will take a file larger than 100 Mb and, while uploading the file, will spit it into chunks for upload and the chunks are then reassembled by Dropbox into a single archive file. You should never see the chunks, they are an invisible part of the communication between the website and Dropbox.
If you still have questions about this process, please zip and post your backup log to allow me to follow what is happening more accurately.
