Description of my issue:

It´s the first time I want to do a BackUp with cronjob.
The script ist like I read in Manual:

/usr/bin/php /var/www/[webxxx]/html/cli/akeeba-backup.php --profile=2

and the protocol is like shown below.
All files has been set to 0 KB (exc KickStart.php)
Also my Provider hasn´t any idea.
Where ist the mistake/problem?

hopefully regards
Klaus

Hello Klaus,

it seems something is missing on your installation.
Can you please try to reinstall Akeeba Backup without uninstalling it?
Can you please take another backup and attach the log to the ticket?

Hello Davide,
thanks for the quick reply.
I have installed Akeeba 3.10.2 pro once more with success.
The logfile from today, starting the backup with profil 2 attaches. All backups with profil 1 (standard) working properly.

The log you attached it's not from a CLI backup.
When do you have the problem? While backing up using a cronjob or from backend?

The protocol attached in my answer was from Backend.
The protocol of the cli backup has been copied in the first posting.
A new cronjob I can start in the night, but I´m a little bit scared.

I just checked your log and I saw you are using php 5.3.2
This version is unsupported by our software since all versions under 5.3.4 are VERY buggy.
You have to update your php version in order to use Akeeba Backup.

However, regarding the 0Kb files, it could be a problem regarding quota management. Some hosts have a very aggressive quota management policy: if you exceed the limit they would "nuke" all the files. Please double check if you have enough disk space.

Hello Davide,

thank you. The PHP Version was the reason. Now the BackUp works the second night. The Mail Protocol even says OK. But in BackEnd Akkeba says the BackUp in "unneccessary" / überflüssig.
I made no changes since the last BackUp, I thought. So I have done some changes, the BackUp started in the night, the same message, but today I read once more überflüssig. Where is my mistake? The protocol is attached.

Klaus

I'm glad you resolved it.
Akeeba only checks when the latest backup has been performed and you can configure the amount of days a backup is valid.
So that's simply a kind reminder, that's all.
