Last week Google Drive dropped their storage prices a lot, making it a lot cheaper per GB than Dropbox. At this moment Google Drive isn't available for use in Akeeba Backup. 1,5 years back I asked about the Google Drive integration and it wasn't possible due to license issues. Since then a lot has changed in Google's API enviroment and I'm curious if Google Drive is under review or could become under review to add it as a cloud backup service for Akeeba Backup. Google Drive could be a nice backup service because of it's cheaper pricing at the moment.

Hello Machiel,

yes, you can do that, but you have to use a third party service.
  1. You have to register (for free) at http://dav-pocket.appspot.com
  2. Set WebDAV as your post-processing engine
  3. Then you can use the WebDAV endpoint https://dav-pocket.appspot.com/docso/ and enter your DAV-pocket username and password

And you're done!
