Good day, on all my sites on 2 servers when I receive the update version available message and click on the link it al ways fails with no xml file message.When I upload the package manually x 2 to get rid of the "Entering the Download ID is not sufficient for enabling Akeeba Backup Professional's features. You will need to download and install the Akeeba Backup Professional package on your site twice, without uninstalling the Core version. For more information and detailed instructions please take a look at our video tutorial on upgrading Akeeba Backup Core to Professional." Absolutely nothing changes the message remains,I have a valid ID for the pro version.
here is the log file:-

The packages of our latest versions of our components are rather big. Since the default maximum upload size on most servers is just 2Mb this may cause an upload error. The best solution is to ask your host to set the following in the server's php.ini:
upload_max_filesize = 10M
post_max_size = 10M

If this is not possible, there's a good chance that the following lines in your .htaccess file may work on most servers:
php_value upload_max_filesize 10M
php_value post_max_size 10M

There is also another alternative, but it won't work on all hosts: installation by URL. Please go to the Download section of our site and select the software and version you want to download. Next to the "Download now" button you will see a link called "DirectLink". Right click on it and select "Copy link address" (the exact phrase depends on the browser, but it should have to do about copying the link or its address / URL / location).

Now go to your site's back-end, Extensions, Extensions Manager and find the Install from URL field. Note: on Joomla! 3.x you have to click on the "Install from URL" tab to see that field. Replace the contents of the "Install URL" field with the contents of your clipboard (the DirectLink URL you copied above) and click on the "Install" button next to this textbox. As long as your server supports installing extensions from URL the installation should go through.

If this still doesn't help you can always follow the manual installation instructions in our troubleshooting documentation.

Thank you for your reply,however I do not have the upload limit problem,nor does installing from url work correctly,I still have the "Entering the Download ID is not sufficient for enabling Akeeba Backup Professional's features etc" message despite uploading twice manually! In one instance I completely removed akeeba and reinstalled ,still the same message (see attachment) I have installed all sites manually now (40+) which was a pain in the a***. Thanks G W Styles

This is a completely different warning.
The "Entering..." appears when you put a download id in component params, but you're using a Core version, which doesn't need it.
This usually is performed by users that think putting the Download ID will automatically enable the core features.
So this is not a "real" issue, it's just a warning: install the pro version or remove the Download id from component options and that message will be gone away.

Regarding the no xml file found issue: this happens when your uploaded package gets corrupted.
Did you performed all the checks detailed in our troubleshooting documentation?
