Hi,

I noticed that in the backup list ('Manage Backups') when a - in my case remote - backup is split in multiple files, the list shows the filesize of the last file in the 'series' of backup files. This is not a problem, but I would prefer to see the total size of the backup. Is it possible to show the combined file size of all backup parts?

Kind regards,
Jip Jonker

Jip,

I just checked one of my sites, same combination as you, 2.5.18/3.10.1, and it is showing the total archive size under Manage Backups, not the part size. Are you sure you are seeing the part size?

Maybe because there are more than 9 part??

dlb
Are you uploading the parts immediately? That is an option under the Data Engine configuration.

Yes.

That is the difference between your system and mine. I'll ask Nicholas to take a look at this to see if that's the way it is supposed to work.

OK, thanks for now...

Here is Nicholas' reply:
Yes, this is the way it's supposed to work when you are uploading each part immediately. The backup size can only be calculated at the end of the backup run. At this point only the final part is present on the server. A rolling counter is out of the question for performance reasons.
