EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
i wanted to update to the new version 3.10.1 with the link in the mail form my site.
there is no xml file in the installe!

exactly the same like the ticket number:
#19185 – Not able to update to 3.10.1

so i checked the id number like you answered in the ticket above.
i copied the new download id from your site in my subscriptions and saved it in the backend.
still the same error!

what else could cause this error?

You almost had it! After you update the Download ID, you need to hit the Refresh button on the update screen. If you don't refresh, the old update url is still in the update box, this is linked to the old ID, so it gives you the same error.
