Hi,
Is there a solution to make the ID update number invisible (points instead the real code, parameters) from the back-end without using the Joomla files permission. I will work on a website with an another guy and don't want he use my Id for an another website, but he (and I) should use Akeeba Backup.
Hope I am clear.

Hello,

no you can't hide the download id from the options.
If you did that, you would lose the ability to perform auto updates, since the download id would be deleted from the database, too.

The easiest thing to do is to insert a "fake" (wrong) downloadid in order to receive notifications, and the perform the updates manually.

Thanks for your answer,
I will do this, as you suggest it :
Use a fake Id, and use the good one just the time (few minutes) to update Akeeba.
