I'm getting the following error trying to do backups with Pro (core worked fine):

AJAX Loading Error HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error) Internal status: error XHR ReadyState: 4 Raw server response:

I've upgraded from 3.9.2 Core to 3.9.2 Pro. As per the user guide I performed the process twice (via my tmp folder).

I ran the config wizard before attempting to backup before performing the first backup

After getting the error I changed the configuration settings as suggested in both the troubleshooting guide and as per other public posts, but none have worked.

Hello Mark,

did you processed your log with the log analyzer named ALICE?
Did you try the suggested solutions?

Can you please check if inside the folder
administrator/components/com_akeeba/akeeba/plugins/filters

there is any file that contain a number, for example extensiondirs.1.php?

Hi,

I did follow the directions by the Alice analyzer. None worked.

All the files in the filters folder have 2 versions. For example:
extradirs.1.php and extradirs.php

That's exactly what I was thinking about.
I really don't know why, but some hosts are creating a "second version" of some files, leading to fatal errors since they are breaking the autoloader logic.

The good news is that we already found a workaround for that and a new version is coming up very soon (or at least a new dev version).
In the meantime, you can manually delete these doppelgangers, but I don't know this will do the trick.

Hi Davide,

Removing those extra files has done the trick. Backups now working fine.

Many thanks

Mark
