EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
After trying to backup I get a 'Backup Failed' message followed by an SQL statement. There is no specific error code. I have read your troubleshooter from the link on the error page and followed each suggestion listed but backup still fails. I checked with my ISP and they verified my PHP memory (512mb), plus my 'free space' which is 14GB.

Attached in my zip file is the log file and a screen shot of the backup failure. Thank you please advise how I can fix this. I have used akeeba on my earlier site without issue on the same hosting company.

Thank you.

William,

The last thing the backup tried to do was add a record to the Administer Backups screen. Does that record show up? It should show a status of "failed" or "in process". I can't tell from the log if that was successful or if that was what failed.

In the Backup Configuration screen, do you have any information in the Site overrides section? Normally that section should be blank, it is only used for special situations.

Hi Dale,

I now backed up successfully. It seems there was an earlier Akeeba 'ak_stats' table from my previous site which I have since upgraded. There were backups posted from 2010. Although I deleted those old backups when I upgraded my site.

I noticed, though, the following missing fields in the 'ak_stats' Table: 'filesexist', 'tag', and 'total_size'. I added these fields to the table and the backup was successful. I recently installed Akeeba and I assumed this new installation would have updated the db 'ak_stats' and 'ak_profiles' tables (the only ones I see with 'ak'). Although it backed up fine now, should I be concerned about a future issue from my simply adding these fields?

Thanks.

dlb
The upgrade should have changed the table. I do not expect any future problems with your installation.
