EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: I want to back up my Database only in Zip format. Is it possible? The only option available now is SQL format. My database only SQL file is in the 6MB range. The size would be smaller if ZIP format is used.

Your article #9045 said only SQL format is possible. Is there way to get around this?

Hello Hung,

yes, there is a workaround for that.
You have to choose All configured databases (archive file), and then you can set the option to zip the archive.
If you don't want to backup some tables, you can exclude them using the Database Tables Exclusion page
