EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Akeeba Backup Pro works perfectly on local MAMP php setting 5.5.33, however when I upload to live server I get the following failure notice:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/XXXX/public_html/plugins/system/remember/remember.php on line 94

Have had a good look through "Common issues on restored sites due to PHP incompatibilities between the source and target server" and have amended php.ini and configuration.php files (and back to original status) a number of times, all with no success.

Log file from MAMP server attached.

Thank you for a great product and excellent documentation - I'm glad to have moved from the "free beer" version.

You are receiving an error coming from Joomla! itself. This seems to be unrelated to Akeeba Backup and, if it's any consolation, you're not alone. However, reading these entries I spotted a common pattern. Affected people tried to restore and some files from older Joomla! versions didn't get deleted. I therefore conclude that you are trying to restore your Joomla! 3.2.1 site on top of an earlier Joomla! version (1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.5, 3.0, 3.1 or even 3.2.0). As noted in our documentation, quick start guide and video tutorials this won't work. Please try deleting all files and folder of the site and try the restoration again.

Nick,

Once again, you are correct. Many thanks for your assistance, it is most appreciated.

There were a few other issues involved as well, however, your diagnosis was spot on.

Thank you for your prompt assistance.
