EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: I am getting this annoying message box entitled "What's This?" that explains that "Akeeba Backup has overridden Joomla!'s extensions installer with its own version." What makes it annoying is that it is aligned on the left and pushing the list of updates off to the right and I can no longer see all the information contained there. Some updates need to be downloaded and installed manually and the link to get that update is no longer visible.

Is there some way to get rid of it or perhaps move it above the update list?

Well, as the box says, you can disable the "System - System Restore Points" plugin. Please note that we are finalising a new release which solves this issue. We are aiming for a release on Christmas, or the week between Christmas and New Year's at the latest.
