EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I'm trying to update some extensions, Akeeba automatically kicks off a backup - says successful then I get Error: Invalid controller: name='akeeba', format=.

Found someone elses closed ticket about disabling the System Restore Point plugin. Tried that and it didn't work - even after flushing Joomla cache.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Craig

Disabling the System - System Restore Point plugin is the proper fix for this problem. We have run into several hosts that are using a program cache such as Xcache that "remembers" settings. So your site is running from the cache, not from the settings on the disk/database.

You can check with your host and see if there is a way to flush the cache when you make changes so that the changes become effective.
