Description of my issue:

Hi Nicolas,

I'm working as an Intern as part of my ICT Degree in a local charitable organisation, as part of this I've been tasked to build them a brand new website and managed to talk them in to Joomla for various reasons. I also use Akeeba Backup with their site and have both manual backups but also CRON scheduled backups, which backup to the main web hosting server.

However, I'm trying to future proof every element I can for them for once my Internship is completed and as they have an in-house networked server on-site, I am trying to find out if it ist possible in anyway with Akeeba Backup; to somehow get the same CRON scheduled backup to dump into the on-site networked server?

I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Regards,
Rob

Hello Rob,

If this server is accessible to the internet it's definitely possible to make Akeeba Backup store back-ups to this server.

The Pro version of Akeeba Backup offers an (S)FTP option, allowing you to FTP the JPA archive to your server automatically - along with a lot of other options (Amazon S3, Dropbox, Skydrive, ... just to name a few).

This page of the documentation might answer your question: https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-documentation/data-processing-engines.html
