Same issue as in other customer's ticket which I have copied below. However your stated fix of updating to .9.1 did not help. In fact I never used .9.0 and only began having this problem since updating today to .9.1.

Description of my issue:

Just upgraded to the latest version of Akeeba Backup.

When trying to access the Joomla updates, I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method JAdministrator::getBody() in /home/teenwc/public_html/plugins/system/srp/srp.php on line 369

You are the first person to report that it is still broken on 3.9.1. I'm thinking that this is an upgrade problem rather than a 3.9.1 problem.
  1. Disable the System - System Restore Point plugin.
  2. Install the 3.9.1 version twice. Do not uninstall the extension, that will cause you to lose all your settings and possibly your stored backups.

This actually fixed nothing. Unfortunately you didn't read the text in our download page, or the release notes (which were available for you to read in Live Update, before upgrading) before upgrading Akeeba Backup. As clearly noted, Akeeba Backup 3.9.X is not compatible with the old, vulnerable and obsolete Joomla! versions 3.0 OR 3.1 Furthermore, support for all previous versions of Akeeba Backup and Joomla! has ceased, effective November 20th 2013, 14:30 EET.

You can downgrade to Akeeba Backup 3.8.2 (not recommended) or upgrade your site to Joomla! 3.2 (very strongly recommended).
