Hi,

I have Akeeba backup running on one of my Joomla sites that's running Joomla v.2.5. I'm very happy with it. It works very well. Great work!

I would like to install Akeeba Backup on a different Joomla website that's running with Joomla 1.7.5...

I can't find any installer on your site that is for Joomla 1.7. Do you not support 1.7 at all? I'm sure I know what you're answer will be... "you need to upgrade Joomla to at least v.2.5" ...right?

Hi Peter,

exactly :)
Version 1.6 and 1.7 are alpha version, with huge security issues: you can hack them with a couple of clicks.

This is why we don't support Joomla 1.7, so you have to upgrade in order to user Akeeba Backup.
