I want transfer selected tables from one project to another with Akeeba Pro.

First I create a second profile only for transfering.
In this profile i set database table exlusions for selection.
Then i modify the defaults options of the profile. I change "basic configuration" > "backup type" to "All configured databases.
I make a backup using this profil.

Then i switch to the second projekt, import this jpa and start restoring process.
The decompression ist successfull. But if i start the restore script i get a 404 Error in a new window.
If i check the root directory i can see a lot of joomla.s* files but the path /installation/ is not there.

can you help me?

Your "All configured databases" backup is not including any files at all. The Joomla! files that you see on your target site were already there, not extracted from your archive. That type of backup also does not include an installer, hence the missing /installation folder. You can not "restore" a database only backup the same way you can a full site backup.

You should have one or more .sql files, probably in the root of your site. These contain your backed up table data from your source site in the form of a SQL dump. You can restore them to the current database with a utility program such as phpMyAdmin.

Okay, I understand. You have such a great component. I'm assuming that you have this last little step of dump-import also realized. Too bad. I wanted to automate this process with Akeeb for the client. The customer should not use phpMyAdmin. Too dangerous. Now I have to program in shell or php.

Well, it doesn't work with your given parameters. Let's see if we can change the givens and get it to work some other way. I agree about phpMyAdmin, I usually tell clients it is a very sharp knife. It is great if you're whittling, but bad if you cut your finger.

Is it possible to transfer a "standard" site from one location to another? That would allow us to include the installer and perhaps save the step of installing a blank Joomla! on the target site.
