EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
im using joomla 2.5.14 (fresh install)
i have installed akbeeba backup 3.7.7 (i have no other akeeba comp, mod or plugins installed)
my php is set to 5.3 (on hostgator account)
im attempting to update to version akbeeba 3.8.2
and i get the following errors:
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
Invalid package type. The update can not proceed.

First try disabling the "System - System Restore Points" plugin.

If this doesn't help please follow our instructions on re-entering and re-validating your Download ID. You will need to be logged in to our site to see this page. If you get a 403 error message please try logging out and back in. Do follow all of the steps in the instructions, even if you think they are not necessary in your case. Despite appearances, the entirety of these instructions must be carried out in the specific order presented to make sure you can download updates.

I disabled the "System - System Restore Points" plugin.

and it installed flawlessly!
