Mandatory information about my setup:
There is no 'technical' issue involved here so I'm not including anything concerning my installations.

My issue is when you do an update for Admin Tools, it takes a backup before updating. When you do an update for Akeeba Backup, it takes a backup before updating. Is there a way to include the option to 'not' make a backup or at the very least to see if there has been a backup done on the same page. There really is no need to take up disk space for multiple backups on the same day.

Yes, there is. Please disable the System - System Restore Points plugin before upgrading. After upgrading you can re-enable the plugin.
