Joomla! version: 2.5.14
PHP version: 5.3.3
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: 3.7.10
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.
Description of my issue:
When clicking the install link in the easy update email for the upgrade of Akeeba Backup, the backup process freezes at the dorectory /administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup
I've tried adding that whole directory to the exclusions list, but no change.
There has never been a problem with this before.
There is no error message ever, waited for over half an hour once, but it just froze at this specific dir every time. However, if you navigate away from the page after a while, it does display an error message very briefly:
"AJAX loading error
HTTP status: 0 (error)
Internal status: error
XHR ready state: 0
Raw server response:
Please click the view log button ..."
Trying to upgrade to the latest version, but it doesn't work because of this.
I tried performing a manual backup from the main akeeba backup control panel, and that didn't fail, but it still fails in the upgrade process.
It seems it tries to skip the backup process before upgrade sometimes, then it just comes to a screen where it says:
"Unable to open archive
Extracting the update package failed. Please try updating the extension manually.
A new version is available
Installed version 3.7.10
Latest version 3.8.0
Latest release date 2013-09-09"
I haven't tried installing it manually.
There once also popped up an error message saying that it failed to delete a backup file (concerning a backup taken today), when just navigating around the Akeeba backup menu system, not related to deleting backups.
