Description of my issue:
Hi, I have a site (www.caesarhotels.info) in last stage of development.
I want to make backups and upload them to Dropbox.
I set everything as you describe in your video instructions and in the beginning it was working fine.
As development got along, the backup file size got larger and once it was larger then 150mb, I started getting a message that the backup was completed, but the file was not uploaded (See screenshot attached).
I tried changing the file from jpa to zip and set it to break into max of 130mb parts, and it is working fine this way. Yet, I prefer a single jpa file.

I have other smaller sites and the system is uploading the file to dropbox fine for them. They are all hosted in the same place.

I checked the Dropbox (free) settings and there is no file size limitation.

Where is this limit coming from and how can I solve this problem please?

Please note that the limitation comes from the official Dropbox API. However, their desktop client is NOT using their official Dropbox API. They use a different method which is not available to third party developers and which doesn't have a maximum file size limit. That is why you can upload larger files through their desktop client (using the proprietary Dropbox protocol not available to developers) but not through Akeeba Backup (using the official Dropbox API). The API limit is well documented in Dropbox' site. The chunked method is, unfortunately, not currently compatible with our software. We will try to implement it in a future release of Akeeba Backup.

Thanks for your respond. I understand that the only option I have is to use zip files and break it to smaller then 150mb parts?

You can use either ZIP or JPA files. Both formats support archive splitting. You do have to use a part size for split archives less than or equal to 150Mb.
