Description of my issue:

The weekly cron job worked fine for a while. But since a few tines I receive this email:

-------------------------------------
Warning: require_once(/includes/defines.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/15/d13493668/htdocs/cli/akeeba-backup.php on line 62

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/includes/defines.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php5') in /homepages/15/d13493668/htdocs/cli/akeeba-backup.php on line 62
---------------------------------------
the requested '/includes/defines.php' does in fact exist

What goes wrong with my cron job?

Kind regards
Hermann

The problem is the path: /includes/defines.php is not ../includes/defines.php. This means that your server is reporting the wrong directory when PHP's realdir() function is used. This is a hosting setup issue I can't help with.
