Description of my issue:
I am running Akeeba backup in one of the Cpanel of the VPS server to back up websites of the other Cpanels on the server.
Is it possible to do this without setting the permission of the public_html folder of the websites I am backing up to 755?
If yes, what is the way to do this?
If not, is it okay to set the permission of the public_html folder to 755 in terms of security and functionality?
I am asking this as Hostgator, when the server is rebooted, resets all the folder permission under the root of the cpanel to 750, blocking Akeeba to back up the files under other public_html folders.
Thanks,
Tom
