Thank's for sending the documentation again.
But as you can see in may Post, I've read the document an tried all the different settings without any success.
Any suggestions, why does this error occure and backup is not succeeding?

Hy Nicholas,
first of all, here is the complete error Message:

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

---- End of Message

Second: I've attached the actual Logfile (Zip-Archive) from the Backup when the error occured.

Third: - Backup of Database is successful.
But Backup of files and directories with the same Configuration doesn't complete and generates an error.

Fourth: I've read your document and tried the following:
  • PHP Memory Limit is far more than 32 BM
  • I've saved every Change in configuration wizard
  • Web Space is enough
  • I've set the Temporary Directory to [DEFAULT_OUTPUT]
  • tried different Archive formats, from JPA to zip format to zip using ZipArchiver
  • and i changed the Maximum execution time down to 5 seconds as describted

Nothing of all this lead to any success. So what else can I do?
That's why I posted yesterday.
My Provider is Strato.de and php and mysql Versions on an actual Level as described yesterday. Joomla! is Version 3.1.1.

Looking Forward to your reply. Thanks a lot.

You are on Strato.de which has a file size limit of 10Mb. Normally you can just run the Configuration Wizard and the currently selected backup profile will include a workaround for this limitation.

Alternatively you can go to Configuration and click on the Configure button next to the Archiver Engine row. Set the Part Size for Split Archives to 10Mb or, if this doesn't work (e.g. older Strato server) set it to 5Mb.

Thank you very much for your help and competence!
Problem is solved!
I set the Part Size for Split Archives to 10Mb maximum and now it works.

Another solution I've found a few minutes before I got your reply, was to exclude the directory /images... from Backup. That works too and the filesize at the end was 20.27 MB in one part.
But your solution is better because i can backup all - including the images.

Thank you again. I use Akeeba in all my projects because i love it.
